Dillon Caffrey, or "Coach Goose", will be joining James Perkin in leading our organization.
He is a Nashville native and has been playing hockey since 7 years old; growing up playing in the NYHL with the Ice Tigers and Southern Flyers. Coach Goose also played for Mt. Juliet High School, NA3 for the Glacier Nationals in Montana, and is currently an Emergency Backup Goalie (E.B.U.G.) for the Nashville Predators. Goose began coaching hockey at the age of fifteen, discovering a new love and appreciation for the game. He holds a USA Hockey level 4 coaching certification and a USA Hockey Goaltending silver. Goose also coaches in camps clinics all over the US and Canada, and continues his education with yearly conferences and seminars to stay on the cutting edge of youth development. He is passionate about coaching and bringing energy to the game. Goose's primary objectives are to incite passion, build ongoing knowledge of the game, educate athletes, and grow the game for the current and future generations of hockey players.
The Nashville Youth Hockey League (NYHL) in conjunction with Centennial Sportsplex is thrilled to announce a partnership with LiveBarn, a provider of live and on demand broadcast services, that is now available on both rinks at Centennial Sportsplex.
“The ability to provide youth hockey streaming and on-demand replay modernizes the experience for players, parents and coaches," said NYHL President John Higgins. “Players are now able to share highlights, coaches have access to full game replays and practices to aide player development and family members can access live games when they cannot attend in person.” Higgins mentioned, “The introduction of the LiveBarn services demonstrates the NYHL’s commitment to the continued development and advancement of youth hockey in Tennessee.”
The NYHL would like to extend a special “thank you” to The Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation and the staff of Centennial Sportsplex for their tireless assistance in making this service available for everyone.
LiveBarn is used in over 1,250 rink surfaces and over 815 ice hockey venues. The platform is accessible via a desktop or mobile browser, the LiveBarn iOS app or the LiveBarn AppleTV App. The service is now active and available to Live Barn subscribers.
