NHL names Preds forward Patric Hornqvist Third Star of the Week
Goaltender Cristobal Huet of the Chicago Blackhawks, goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury of the Pittsburgh Penguins and right wing Patric Hornqvist of the Nashville Predators have been named the NHL 'Three Stars' for the week ending Dec. 20.
Hornqvist led all scorers last week with seven points (four goals, three assists), helping the Predators (22-11-3) win four consecutive games and rise to sixth place in the League's overall standings. Hornqvist recorded points in all four games, beginning with one goal in a 5-3 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets Dec. 14 and two points (one goal, one assist) in a 7-4 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning Dec. 15.

Nashville Predators Spread Holiday Cheer- Predators players Francis Bouillon, Cody Franson, Dan Hamhuis and mascot GNASH visited patients at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital spreading some holiday cheer.
Arnott Holiday Party - Jason and Dina Arnott hosted a holiday party for over 100 people from Against the Grain, Bethlehem Centers, Youth Life Learning Centers and Youth Encouragement Services. The party included a delicious feast donated by Levy Restaurants, a mini-hockey game, gifts for every child and a visit from Santa.

The Red Wings visit the Music City for the second time this season tomorrow night. Nashville won the first meeting of the clubs on Nov. 23, a 3-1 decision at the Sommet Center, behind a pair of goals by Martin Erat and a 30-save effort by Pekka Rinne. It was the Predators fourth consecutive victory over Detroit, its longest such streak against the Wings. The four-game winning streak started with an 8-0 victory by the Predators on Feb. 28, 2009, which is the largest margin of victory in franchise history.
