PW and BA Flyers Win State Championships

Will Play for 2A National Championship Tournament

The Bantam (AA) Flyers defeated the Knoxville Ice Bears 8-0 and 10-4 to win the state tournament series (best of 3), advancing to the USA Hockey 2A National Championship Tournament April 7-10 in
Wayne, NJ.

The PeeWee (AA) Flyers have won the PW Division TN State Championship with a 3-0-2 record in a deciding 5 game series against area rival A-Game Polar Bears. 

The Memphis Blues, previously declared as an eligible team for state tournament play, withdrew from contention. 

The PW (AA) Flyers will head to Reston, VA for the 2A National Championship Tournament facing state representatives from Idaho, Rhode Island and Georgia in preliminary round games. 

The next game action for both the PeeWee and Bantam Flyers will be the Country & Western Showdown March 19-21 in Nashville.
