General Format: Designed for maximum fun and exercise. Open to any and all players (house and travel) in good standing with their respective league (financial and discipline). Coaches will be assigned to teams and players assigned to teams by NYHL Hockey Operations Staff. No reservations or requests to be on same team will be honored. Must be USA Hockey Registered. Player and Parent Code of Conduct must be turned in on practice night to participate.
Maximum 3 goals per player per game.
Only 1 each practice prior to games starting. No additional practices.
Jersey provided, provide your own socks.
All Games are 13:00 Minute Run Clock – No Time Outs – 3 Minute Warm Up – 1 Minute Rest Between Periods.
Mite Games are ½ ice and follow NYHL House Mite Rules. 4v4 with goalie. Termites are welcome to join in. Fees include 1 practice, 10 games, playoffs and jersey.
Intermediate (Squirt & Pee Wee) are full ice games, 5v5 + goalie. 12 players per team (includes goalie) Fees include 1 practice, 10 games, ice, refs, playoffs and jersey.
Senior are full ice games, 5v5 + goalie. 12 players per team (includes goalie) Fees include 1 practice, 10 games, ice, refs, playoffs and jersey.
Point Standings: 2 Points for Win 0 Points for Loss 1 Point for Tie Play Off Seeding Tie Breaker: Goals For Goals Against Coin Toss
Playoffs / Championship Game: 1 ea 30 Second Time Out per team per game If Tied at End of Regulation, goes to Shoot Out, best of 3 then sudden death
The Fine Print: This is a fun, bridging of seasons style program. Play At Your Own Risk. General Game Rules of NYHL and USA Hockey Apply. In addition, Fisticuffs, Game Misconducts, Match Penalties will not be tolerated. Players will be ejected from the league and fees forfeited for Fisticuffs, Game Misconducts or Match Penalties. NYHL President and NYHL Hockey Operations reserves the right to discipline, up to and including ejection from Spring Season without refund any player found to be involved with fisticuffs, game misconducts, Match Penalties or other infractions deemed unsuitable for the game of hockey or malicious destruction of Rink Property. No Refunds once registered. No Refunds if injured, on vacation or can only participate in partial season. Players MAY NOT PLAY DOWN in age levels. Parents are not allowed on the bench during games. Home Team must provide score sheet and clock operator. Score sheets to be turned into NYHL Mailbox outside of Hockey Operations Office at the rink. Each team must provide Penalty Box Attendants.
